Meet the Therapist
Renatta Lindsey, LPC-Associate Supervised by Monica McClain, LPC-S
Hi! My name is Renatta Lindsey and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate in Texas. I have two master degrees: one in Counseling and one in Public Administration. I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, and sexuality. I live in Houston, TX with my family and enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling.
Now that we have gotten the introductions out of the way, let me just say how happy I am that you are visiting. Moving ahead in the face of adversity and challenges takes courage. However, I am here, waiting, and prepared to help you on your path to becoming a healthier and stronger version of yourself.
This journey called life can come with many challenges that are difficult to name, verbalize, and express. Many of these challenges lead to anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, self-harm, and trauma.
Often times you may feel stuck. You may even feel as if you cannot see past today and that there is no other way. But I am here to inform you that there are positive ways to cope with the challenges you may face in life.
My intention is to provide you with the tools and coping skills to help you discover a sense of wholeness and well-being to grow and thrive. I am committed towards creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to say “I am not okay” and to help you unpack the “why”.
I know that building a trusting bond with my clients is the first step towards a successful therapy journey. I aim to empower you and help you discover coping skills to promote resilience, awareness, well-being, and self-love.
